London Tube map (tubing paint on canvas)

Description

London tube maps (tubing paint on canvas)

London tube maps which have been created from tubing paint and also dot painting. I have been doing this style of art of the London tube maps now for a few years so given 2013 is the 150th year of operation of the London underground, these tube maps may appeal to you.

One map on white canvas is a replica of the paper and station map which is what you see on a daily basis if you use the tube in London. The method used was acrylic paint being pumped out from a syringe giving it a 3d effect.

Another map on white canvas is the geographically correct tube map of the tube system as it would appear if it were above ground. The method used was acrylic paint being pumped out from a syringe giving it a 3d effect.

The map on red oche canvas is my Australian stance of the tube map which is inspired by the aboriginal dot paintings and the red country in the outback where I have worked many times. The method used was a stick dipped in acrylic paint and dotted onto the canvas.
