The Creswell Crags Stone grid design is a balance of 9 circles of which the bison, ibis and stag, which are found in the cave art, have been incorporated into the design. Look closely and you will discover the 3 drawings from the actual cave.
Britain’s only know Ice Age Art is found at Creswell Crags. These engravings are over 13,000 years old, making Church Hole Cave the oldest art gallery in the country. The Bison, Stag and Ibis are the most easily recognised figures.
